Tidal Roots is owned & managed by me, Sam, & my husband Tim, & of course our daughter Flo. We met here in Tortola in 2015 & started building the farm in late 2017. While I have always lived and worked on farms, Tim is an alternative energy engineer and identifies more as an ocean guy. Hence - Tidal Roots. Together, we make a great team. I work full time for Tidal Roots & all it entails, while Tim works full time at Peter Island and enjoys helping with projects & problem-solving at the farm in the evenings and on the weekends. This entire project & business is made possible by Tim’s family, who gave us their land to live and work on. We are so grateful! With this beautiful opportunity in life, we feel called to not only farm, but to also use this space to connect with community ~ through food, health, healing practices &, of course, nature. What started as a passion project to grow food & feed community after hurricanes Irma and Maria has evolved into so much more. Our only hope is to leave this land, this community, & this world a little more nourished, a little more open, and a little more loved than it was before.
